Kabar Gemerlap - In an industry often criticized for oversimplifying youth issues, DLK Pictures and Inhype Pictures' Yang Disebut Nakal aims to disrupt the narrative. The film, produced by Diana Limbong and Ryan Prasetyo, centers on delinquent teenagers but refuses to reduce them to their labels.
"This isn't about glorifying delinquency," says producer Diana Limbong. "It's about showing the complexity behind the 'nakal' label. These kids are fighting to be understood, not to be defined by society's expectations."
"We're not making a film about perfect children," adds executive producer Ryan Prasetyo. "We're telling stories that rarely get told — the ones where kids are labeled 'nakal' but deserve more than judgment."
The film's unique approach includes a psychologist on set, a decision highlighted by actor Aming: "Benni Setiawan's vision was clear — this isn't just about acting. It's about creating space for real dialogue between parents and children."
Donny Damara, playing a pivotal parental role, emphasizes the film's potential to bridge generational gaps: "This isn't a lecture. It's a mirror. Parents will see themselves, and kids will see their struggles reflected. The goal? To foster communication, not condemnation."
Industry Impact and Audience Expectations
With a cast including Boris Bokir, El Putra Sarira, and Donny Damara, the film's production team is betting on a nuanced portrayal of delinquency. Scheduled for 2027 release, the project has already sparked conversations about media's role in shaping societal attitudes toward youth behavior.
"We're not here to make a 'message movie,'" says Limbong. "But we hope viewers walk away with questions — not answers. What does it mean to label a child 'nakal'? How do we rebuild trust when the label is already there?"
